Due to its free bending characteristics, the four-sided folding machine has a lot of freedom in process development. It does not need to replace or adjust the mold. It can achieve a variety of bending through the combined action of the upper and lower folding dies and the pressing die. Technology and process performance are even better. Below, we will share with you the characteristics of several folding machine process implementations based on typical workpieces from different industries.
The flattening process, also known as the dead edge, is a common process in the sheet bending process. It can improve the strength of the sheet metal edge and make the sheet metal edge smooth without grinding. The dead edge of the bending machine needs to be bent twice, that is, the mold needs to be replaced. First, use a 30° sharp knife and a deep V-groove to bend 30° to 45°, and then use a flattening die to flatten it. When the folding machine performs the sheet flattening process, there is no need to change the mold. Through the cooperation of the folding beam and the pressing beam, a variety of flattening effects can be achieved.

In addition to the common forward and reverse bottom flattening, in the switch cabinet and elevator industries, we often see the need for opening flattening processes to enhance the strength and touch of the door edge. The folding machine can also use the cooperation of the folding beam and the compression beam to easily achieve various bending size and angle requirements in the front line and quickly achieve the final flattening effect.

The arc process is now also a necessary process for most manufacturers' workpieces. To achieve the arc process, specific molds must be used. Arcs with different angles and different radii require different molds, which is not only costly, but also time-consuming and labor-intensive. As for the folding machine, you only need to add one bending process. Because of its efficient continuous automatic bending, it can form arcs through multiple small-angle bending combinations. Not only does the effect be perfect, but it will not affect the continuous processing of the workpiece.
Special-shaped bending is a relatively broad description. It actually realizes various special-shaped processes of smaller sizes through the free folding path and mold combination of the four-sided folding machine. For example, U-shaped bends with an opening less than 6mm, small Z-shaped bends with a step difference of 1mm, various small-sized N-shaped bends, etc.
